Our commitment lies in supporting individuals living with psychiatric and developmental disabilities, conditions such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, Bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety disorders and other related challenges.
We believe everyone deserves the chance to feel supported by a trusted, furry companion. Pawsitive Tails Project works with professionals to provide psychiatric service dog training tailored to each person’s unique needs.
For many people, a psychiatric service dog can provide life-changing support by assisting with daily tasks, increasing independence, reducing anxiety, and offering a sense of safety and stability. Unfortunately, limited training resources, lack of awarness, and expenses associated with professional training and ongoing support create significant financial barriers. Leaving many individuals without access to interventions that could significantly improve their well-being and daily functioning.
Our goal is to help bridge that gap! Making psychiatric service dogs more attainable for those who could benefit from pawsitive assistance. Through having fundraisers, bringing awareness, and building community partnerships, we work to make these life-changing companions more accessible to individuals who need them most.
